Books never stop getting published. Yet some are better than others, so where do we start? Over the years, I’ve read (or skimmed) too many books to count, either for study and ministry preparation or to evaluate as resources to give away. Below is the fruit of that time reading–recommendations on books related to the Christian life and ministry. I hope these recommendations are helpful as your look for your next book (or are challenged to read on something you haven’t previously though much about!).
Books for the Christian Life. These are books for the everyday Christian. Some are easier than others, but all are accessible. They cover every part of the Christian life, from Bible study and prayer to helping others faithfully follow Jesus.
Books for Christian Ministry. This list is more for those who labor in ministry as their vocation. Here there is an emphasis on more resources for sermon prep, theological study, and ministry training.
