October 31 is not just free candy day. It’s also Reformation Day. On that day in 1517, Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the church door, calling for debate on key issues of theology in the day. The result was the Church exploding with the recovery of a clear gospel message. Each day this week, I will be posting something that highlights the impact of the Reformation on the Church.
For this first post, I want to give something of the theological background to what happened. Now, if that sounds dry, you’ve got another thing coming. This talk by Michael Reeves is anything but dry and boring. This is theology at its best: clear, lively, biblical, and hitting at the most important part of life: our relationship to God.
