Here are some things I’ve found helpful, encouraging, or thought-provoking this past week –
- Pastor Anyabwile points us to some much-needed observations about preaching.
- Dr. Mohler makes offers some wise comments on President-elect Obama’s other choice of a pray-er at his inauguration.
- Michael Haykin – church historian extraordinaire – is giving us another gift; this time a book on The Christian Lover.
- D. A. Carson hit the net in force this week. A massive amount of his previously unavailable, or available for $ only, mp3’s are now available for free at the Gospel Coalition site. Fire up the external hard-drive and start downloading!
- Volume 1 of Douglas Kelly’s new systematic theology has come out with some impressive endorsements. Kelly’s work in the past has been of excellent quality, reflecting his high regard for God’s word and his love for the church. Well worth checking out.
- Finally, guest-blogging for Russell Moore. James Hamilton gives a thought-provoking post on the right order of the Old Testament books.
