This is a very good idea – I am linking to you as resources to train more worker for the harvest. If you are serious about making this the equivalence with formal training, I would suggest that you make the audio roughly the same amount of time for lecture, and the reading should be about 1000-1200 pages per “class”.
I also would suggest that future semesters cover the work of David Powlison for pastoral counseling work as well.
thanks for the feedback. in my initial post i said that each ‘class’ would probably not have the equivalent number of hours – this is just some of (in my opinion) the best available for free on the web on given subjects. i have eight semesters planned, with counseling coming up around semester 6 i think. i have tried to loosely associate the different topics, so counseling will be with sections on the Holy Spirit, Discernment and the Puritans.
