This coming February, I am leading a team on a mission trip to West Africa. This is a follow-up visit to a previous trip I took in 2006. My part involves teaching a class called ‘What Christians Believe” to Muslims among a certain people group. Last time, I taught through the life of Abraham for a week and two men publicly confessed Christ as their Lord and Savior – a massive decision for them. God saw fit to allow me to see the fruit of the long-term work of our missionaries there. It was a blessing and an encouragement!
During the first trip, the funds needed came in quickly and the costs were met. This year, however, that has not been the case. My family has been giving, but we cannot cover the whole cost. I am NOT asking readers of this blog to contribute!
I am asking that you PRAY for me. Pray for the funds to be provided so that my involvement will not be hindered by finances.
Pray also for me (and the team) as I prepare – to have wisdom in sharing Christ; to have love and compassion for those who are lost; to have a servant-minded spirit towards the people and the missionaries; to do everything for the glory of God.
